This was a visual-design class project where I experimented with 3D modeling and animation in Blender. The goal was a fun, engaging 3D scene for Dopper — a transformation of their landing page tied to the back-to-school period. The challenge was to craft a concept, a styleboard, and a design language that would fit the brand and lift their seasonal branding.
The creative process for the concept is the part that, even when it takes the most brain-juice, makes everything else work. After much ideation, I landed on a small observation: a Dopper bottle’s iconic shape looks like a graduation cap. I leaned into it and built “Dopper College” — a place where single-use plastic bottles are educated and graduate as Dopper bottles.
This was my first real experience with 3D modeling and animation. I worked on crafting every object in the scene and on the composition itself. I picked up the essentials of lighting, materials, textures, rendering and animation, and pushed myself into more technical corners like geometry nodes and particle systems.
